Reserve the date! Please plan on joining us at the ABA’s 17th National Annual Institute on Class Actions, to be held at the Revere hotel in Boston this coming October 23-24, 2013 (www.reverehotel.com). We have another impressive event planned and are expanding the program an extra half-day this year. I will again be teaching “Class Actions 101” with Institute Chair Dan Karon of Cleveland on October 23, followed by Professor John C. Coffee (Columbia Law) and Professor Alexandra D. Lahav’s (Univ. of Connecticut Law) annual survey on class action decisions. I will moderate the lead-off panel on October 24 with a program on “Whose Class Is It Anyway?”, exploring the law and policy of named plaintiff selection. The expanded schedule will allow us to feature a broader scope of topics.
This is a fantastic training opportunity and networking event for class litigators of all experience levels; not to be missed. I am excited by the many distinguished panelists who will be presenting (including on my own panel). Stay tuned for details when the program brochure is published.
