Andrew J. McGuinness, Esq., investigates possible class action against Lumber Liquidators re. Chinese-manufactured laminate flooring.

On March 1, 2015, CBS’s 60 Minutes program aired a story on levels of formaldehyde in certain Lumber Liquidators laminate flooring products manufactured in China.  See: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/lumber-liquidators-linked-to-health-and-safety-violations/ .  The story reported that certified independent laboratories analyzed many samples of such products–inside and outside of California–and found them to exceed (in some cases by many time) the California “CARB 2” standards that the products were labeled as meeting. A secret camera interview even contains one or two frank admissions by foreman in Chinese manufacturer facilities that Lumber Liquidator products they certify as CARB 2 compliant are not, in fact, CARB 2 compliant (which is more expensive to produce). Lumber Liquidators denies these allegations.

If you purchased in Michigan (or elsewhere) Lumber Liquidators Chinese-manufactured laminate flooring (*not* solid wood flooring), you are invited to contact us as part of our ongoing investigation into possible violations of breaches of warranty and consumer protection laws, and a possible class action lawsuit.
